Oh how he loves us oh....

Sometimes...I can't stop taking photos of the sky, moon, clouds, sunrises, sunsets...etc.  This sky puts me in awe of who God is...EVERYTIME.

Just look up, snap a photo or two...examine it, soak it in, nothing that beautiful can't have a creator...it just can't.  Behold our God...seated on the throne....come let us adore Him!

Dreams...

I am a dreamer.

Someone in my life once told me, Kelli this is reality and you live too idealistically.  That person did teach me a lot and tis true, I am an idealist to some extent.  But I did learn how to get my head out of the clouds.   And maybe that scarred me, maybe those dreams I had when I was younger could've been something had I been allowed to dream more...

So today for 20 minutes after I finished my yoga routine while watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince...because let's face it, yoga is boring and is meant to have some action...

Today, after that...for 20 minutes...I dreamt....

and therefore...I am blogging.

I know I know....it's been awhile.  But it was summer and I have kiddos and well....I want more for this little space in this world....and I wasn't ready....but now I'm ready....

now I want to go there....come with...see what we find.  I may just re-name this little corner of my world...Arts & Dreams, The House at Kelli Corner, Ventures & Dreams, Kelli in Wonderland....but that may be too idealistic....

Happy Father's Day!

I love you Hubby!

Thanks to Paper Coterie, I had a blast working with my kiddos to create something special for my hubby today!  I can't wait to give that to him.

We love you so much, Hunny!  I hope you have a wonderful day filled with rest.

 This is my favorite!

I can't get over these of my son....the facial expressions, I can't imagine where he must get these from!

and this beauty...she wanted to hold up all the signs, in a specific order.  I imagine, Hunny she gets that from you....

and I joined in too....

Happy Father's Day...to all Fathers.  My Father, my Step-Dad, my Father-in-Law...and most of all to my one and only!  I love you and hope your day is super!

I'm Behind

and I'm completely cool with that.  It's summer after all.  I should have more time, but I actually have summer projects and places to go and it often leaves little time to catch up on Project Life.

But I still love it.  I love that it's documenting the everyday life.  I'm loving the flow of photos, particularly from my iPhone.  I'm loving that I think....ooh I want that in my book this week.

The 411:

  • If you are new to Project Life or you are family and wondering what the heck is Kelli up to now....check it out here.
  • I am using the Amber Project Life Kit, it is currently sold out on Amazon, but as soon as they get more in....I think I'm going to have to order a second book for this year (but that makes me so happy)
  • I am also using various product from my own scrapbook stash that I want to use up.  My goal this year is to not buy any product except page protectors, adhesive and albums if need be.
  • I use predominantly 3 types of cameras:  DSLR, my iphone, and a point and shoot.  However I'll occasionally throw in something obscure like a Polaroid!
  • I have a printer so I print all my photos at home.  This revolutionized this project for me.
First Up Week 20:
A week full of guy stuff, pet stuff and things I love stuff.

Right Side Add:  A card from the Hubby, who knows me so well.
The rest of my card hidden behind my hubby's photo...and my hubby, true life.
Insert : 8.5x11, filled with photos from Hubby's day with a friend's son!  Raising A Modern Day Knight...if you haven't read this book, its awesome!  Love the concept.

An impromptu photo session with our Reesey.

Week 21!

Insert: 8.5x11 : My boy and the Living History Museum Day in his class.  He was Hercules!

Oh my love for film....yes but iPhone wins every time out of convenience.
What is your week like?  Are you behind or right on target with it, or not even doing it and think I'm an insane woman..?

Not-an-Instagram

Have you ever used a Holga?  Well I'm in love.  I definitely wanted to be safe my first go-around with my lil' plastic friend.  But I want to step out.  Now that I know it works.  Now that I know I can take photos.  Now that the light leaks so coolly around the lil' guy and creates this oval of delight.

I'm excited.

Have you had an adventure with your camera lately?  I'm thinking I need to schedule it, or it won't ever get done.   I get my holga film developed here.  The Darkroom.  I can't wait to get my prints, so fun.

Scrapbooking at the Beach

Okay so I never.  Yes, never post two blog posts in one day.  But I couldn't resist.   I was listening to the  Paperclipping Round Table with Noel and Gang.  Love that show.  If you haven't ever listened to it, it's marvelous and so fun!

Today they discussed Scrapbooking outside!  Can I just say, love?!   I love scrapbooking.  And if it's not 900 degrees, I love being outside.  Whether I'm sitting outside a Starbucks, on my back deck, at the pool, or yes, even at the beach, I can scrapbook at any of those spots.  It's fun to scrapbook outside the box, and doing it outside just adds another element or challenge if you will.

A year and 1/2 ago my husband and I took a 10 year anniversary trip to Costa Rica.  Can I just say, it was amazing!  I highly recommend it, especially if you want something more then sitting on the beach.  It's great for that, but it's great for adventure stuff too.  And guess what friends, it's wonderful inspiration for scrapbooking outside!  I took everything I needed in a 1/2 gallon size bag in my suitcase and every day I'd take my book and supplies to breakfast or down to the beach, and be inspired.

I encourage all those who haven't tried it, get outside and get crafty!

Have you ever scrapbooked outside?

LOAD 5.12

I recently participated in a LayOut A Day (LOAD) challenge, during the month of May (5.12).  I didn't complete the challenge.  But I'm super happy I participated.  And I'm super happy with what I did complete.  Here is a look at some of my May layouts.

I am working on a VaTech Album and a Halloween Album, so I tried to work on many layouts that had to do with that.  It was a fun challenge, I would totally do it again, even if I only finished 10 layouts, to me it was worth it.  Plus now I have all the ideas for when I want to pick the challenge up again and start working on pages.

Have you ever completed a challenge like this?
